I see you wrote about this in October, but I just found your blog. I read AK in November (I think), and I fell in love with Tolstoy. I just think he revealed himself through Levin, and Levin was my favorite character. Dolly was a close second.

Beating one’s head against the wall works every time. No worries after that. Loved the post. Though I did know of the snatching, it was lovely to hear about the kind shop owner. These little pockets of kindness restores my faith in the goodness of people. (still thinking whether giving up the gold bangles is right or wrong – every time you see your bare wrists you will relive the experience). Oh well!!
